In general soccer is an all weather sport including the younger ages. However, that is in general. If it is
raining very hard or is a very cold rain and the kids are getting miserable, the coaches in the Micro and U6 groups have the option to agree to cancel the game. We want to make sure the kids have fun. We do find that the kids enjoy playing in the rain...well the puddles... until they get cold.
The rule of thumb for SVSA will be:
If it is raining you will start play unless otherwise notified by posting on the website.
If it begins to rain while you are playing, play on in the rain until such time as the kids are not enjoying it in
U6 and Micro only. Coaches in U6 and Micro should exercise judgement. In all other age groups games will continue rain or shine. Play will be suspended for lightning and will resume 30 minutes after the last sighting.
If it snows enjoy!
